Hi, my name is David Burt. I'm a public librarian in the U.S., and I'm also
well-known among U.S. librarians as an outspoken advocate for the use of
filtering software in public libraries, as I have a web site dedicated for
that purpose at www.filteringfacts.org

I'm curious how librarians in the U.K. view all of this.

Do many libraries provide public Internet access?

Do you filter?

Do you have "tap on the shoulder" policies? (meaning if you see someone
looking at porn, you tell them to stop)

Do you let children look at porn?

What do you think about the whole situation in the U.S.?

Thanks,
