für alle, die sich für Bibliotheksbau interessieren, wird sicher das wichtigste Ereignis das LIBER-Bauseminar in Warschau sein. Hier das vorläufige Programm:

8.00 Departure to Katowice (2,5 h)
11.00- 15.00 Visit to the Silesian Library new building (with lunch)
Afternoon: Departure to Kraków (1,5 h), accommodation at Cracovia hotel, dinner at Wierzynek restaurant.


Tuesday April 11, 2000

9.00- 13.00 Visit to the Jagiellonian Library building in extension
Afternoon: The Wawel Castle guided tour
18.40 Meeting at the Kraków Glówny Railway Station (main hall), departure to Warsaw (2,5 h)


Seminar theme:

The 2000 seminar theme of the seminar is The Open Library ?
Financial and Human Aspects. Presentations will include case
studies, drawn from national and university libraries across
Europe. A number of specialist aspects will be covered.


Seminar venue:

The seminar venue will be the new University Library of Warsaw
at the banks of river Vistula in the centre of Warsaw. The
seminar language will be English.


Payment:

The registration deadline is March 1, 2000. The number of
participants is limited. The Seminar fee of 190 EURO should be
paid by cheque or bank transfer (not credit card) to the following

Pre-conference tour:

In addition to the seminar will be organised a tour to Katowice
and Kraków. Payment for this tour is separate. Fee: 330 EURO
(trains, hotel (10/11.04), lunch x 2, dinner and Wawel Castle tour
are included).
