[InetBib] Bibliotheken in neuem EU-White Paper

Liebe KollegInnen,

ein Hinweis: Im neuen "White Paper on a European communication policy"
COM (2006) 35 final, das sich mit BürgerInneninformationen und
elektronischer Demokratie befasst, gibt es auch einen kurzen Abschnitt
über Bibliotheken. Unter dem Punkt "Empowering citizens" steht:

"Another important project to be developed by the Member States would
be the transformation of libraries into digitally connected European
libraries that could work as information and learning centres,
ensuring that all citizens have free access to information
technologies and relevant information."

Außerdem gibt es bis Juli einen Konsultationsprozess, bei dem man
seine Meinung zu dem Papier äußern kann: mehr darüber siehe

doch schön, wenn es dazu Meinungen und Vorschläge von Bibliotheken
bzw. Bibliotheksverbänden gäbe.
