Traineeship at the Information and Documentation Service of Cedefop 
 
The European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop)
is an Agency of the European Union located in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Twice a year, Cedefop offers five-month periods of in-service training
for young university graduates or public sector employees from the
Member States of the European Union and a number of nationals of
non-member countries. These training periods involve work experience in
one of the departments of the Centre.

For the period 1st September 2007 to 31st January 2008 Cedefop is
seeking to recruit a TRAINEE for its Information and Documentation
Service. 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Under the supervision of our systems librarian, the successful candidate
will participate in the redesign of our web OPAC
(http://libserver.cedefop.europa.eu/). Other tasks could include
cataloguing, and/or authority control.

FORMAL REQUIREMENTS
To be considered eligible, applicants must:
* Be a citizen from one of the EU Member States
* Have a diploma in the field of Information Sciences, Librarianship,
Documentation or relevant
* Have a thorough knowledge of English and a satisfactory knowledge of
another language of the Communities

The following will be considered an additional asset:
* Have experience and/or an interest in information architecture, user
interaction design and web site design
