artlibraries.net - Virtual Catalogue for Art History (www.artlibraries.net), 
formerly the VKK, is an international specialized meta catalogue allowing the 
integrated retrieval of bibliographic records and other objects of distinctive 
art historical databases. 
Currently, artlibraries.net gives access to more than 12 million records, 
including a high percentage of records for articles in periodicals, conference 
papers, festschriften, exhibition catalogues and exhibition books, etc., and an 
increasing percentage of records for archival and photographic materials as 
well as for online resources.  
artlibraries.net is not only a meta catalogue, but also an international 
working community of more than 100 art libraries from currently 14 countries 
worldwide. This conference is the fifth in the series of bi-annual 
international artlibraries.net general conferences and the second to be 
organized together with the Future of Art Bibliography (FAB) project initiated 
by the Getty Research Institute. 

artlibraries.net - Catalogue virtuel d'histoire de l'art 
(www.artlibraries.net), l'ancien "VKK", est un méta-catalogue international qui 
permet l'interrogation simultanée de notices bibliographiques et de références 
recensées dans des bases de données spécialisées en histoire de l'art. 
Aujourd'hui, artlibraries.net donne accès à plus de 12 millions de notices, 
incluant une proportion importante d'articles de périodiques, d'actes de 
colloques, de mélanges, de catalogues et livres d'expositions etc., aussi bien 
qu'un nombre croissant de notices concernant des archives, des photos, des 
ressources en ligne. 
artlibraries.net n'est pas seulement un méta-catalogue, mais aussi une 
communauté professionnelle internationale réunissant plus de 100 bibliothèques 
d'art dans actuellement 14 pays en Europe, Amérique du Nord et Australie. Cette 
réunion est la cinquième dans la série des conférences bi-annuelles 
internationales organisées par la communauté d'artlibraries.net et la deuxième 
à être organisée conjointement avec le projet The Future of Art Bibliography 
(FAB), dû à l'initiative du Getty Research Institute.
