UWC Robert Bosch College wishes to appoint a librarian (part-time) for creating 
and providing library, research services and the
organization and maintenance of the library and its collections (starting date 
1st May 2014).

Position Summary:

The Librarian is responsible for creating and providing library and research 
services for the
organization and maintenance of the library and its collections.

The librarian's task is to ensure that students and staff are effective users 
of ideas and
information, to empower students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, 
skillful
researchers, and ethical users of information, and to ensure equitable access 
to information.
The librarian provides the leadership and expertise necessary to ensure that 
the school library
program is aligned with the mission, goals, and objectives of UWC Robert Bosch 
College, and is
an integral component of the learning/instructional program.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

-       A recognized degree from an accredited library or information science 
program

-       A minimum of three years of work experience.

-       Excellent knowledge of English and German.

-       Knowledge of relevant library and academic data bases.

-       Process-oriented.

-       Strong work ethic.

-       Able to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fixed time frame.

-       Able to work independently and as a member of a team.

-       Customer orientation.

Remuneration:
The package will be commensurate with the responsibilities of the position in 
accordance with
TV-L (west). The salary is dependent on previous experience and qualifications.
