[InetBib] Kuopio Conference on Collection Management Policies in a Digital Age (in Vienna!) - 6-8 May 2020

**Apologies for cross-posting **

Dear librarians, archivists, publishers and anyone interested in current
archiving challenges – dear colleagues,

Vienna University Library will be hosting the prestigious Kuopio Conference
from 6 to 8 May 2020. Please check our website for further information and
registration https://kuopio2020.univie.ac.at/home/ .
This meeting will explore various aspects of print storage, such as strategy,
economics and evaluation, logistics, electronically available versions and much
more. We are expecting around 100 delegates, mainly from Europe, but also from
beyond and will offer a varied programme with over 20 talks.

Since its launch in 1999 by Pentti Vattulainen of the Finnish National
Repository Library the Kuopio Conference has gained an ever growing audience of
international experts within a well-established network through IFLA, LIBER and
other organizations. At its 6th meeting in 2018 in Basel, Switzerland, the
conference came under the umbrella of EPICo, the European Print Initiatives
Collaboration (http://www.varastokirjasto.fi/epico/) and a series of biannual
events was planned across Europe, starting with the 2020 Kuopio conference in
Vienna.

On behalf of the organising committee, we would like to ask you to join Kuopio
7 “Review and Renew: Collection Management Policies in a Digital Age” in Vienna
in 2020.
Would you like to present an interesting project? Please send your poster
proposal to sharedarchiving@xxxxxxxx by April 6th 2020.
We look forward to welcoming you in Vienna in 2020!

Kind regards and apologies for cross-posting,

Brigitte Kromp, Wolfgang Mayer (Vienna University Library; Hosts)
Ulrich Niederer (Host of Kuopio 6 in Basel)
