im April naechsten Jahres wird auf Teneriffa die 3. LISA (Library and 
Information Services in Astronomy) Konferenz stattfinden (naehere  
Informationen dazu gibt's auf dem Web unter  http://www.iac.es/biblio/
lisa/ ). Moechten Sie teilnehmen, haben aber keine finanzielle 
Unterstuetzung durch Ihr Institut? Da kommt die folgende Nachricht 
vielleicht gerade recht. 

Fuer Anfragen zur Konferenz stehe ich gerne zur Verfuegung.

                   APPLICATION FOR FUNDS TO ATTEND
           LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SERVICES IN ASTRONOMY III
         INSTITUTO DE ASTROFISICA DE CANARIAS, TENERIFE, SPAIN
                         21 - 24 APRIL 1998
  

The Friends of LISA III (FOL III) Committee is working to raise funds
from publishers, institutions and individuals to assist those
librarians who wish to attend LISA III but are unable to receive full
assistance from their institution. We hope to collect sufficient funds
to cover housing in Tenerife, a small per diem and in some cases
assistance with travel expenses.  Applications for financial aid
should be received by 20 January 1998.  Decisions will be made by 20
February 1998.

Please note that if you are under 35 years in age and are from an EU
country, you should apply for EU support.  Contact Monique Gomez,
