A new 56-page report on the long-term retention of digital materials is now
available from the Research Libraries Group web site
<http://www.rlg.org/longterm/attributes01.pdf>.  "Attributes of a Trusted
Digital Repository: Meeting the Needs for Research Resources" is intended to
prompt consideration and public discussion worldwide. The documents is
freely available as a PDF at:

2001. Readers of the attributes report need not be expert in technical
