Please join members of the Western European Studies Section (WESS), the
Association des Bibliothécaires Français, the Bibliothèque Nationale
deFrance, and European and American colleagues at the WESS European
Conference: Migrations in Society, Culture, and the Library, in Paris
during the Salon du Livre  (www.salondulivreparis.com), March 22-26, 2004.
We very much welcome an international audience and would like to attract
librarians and scholars from as many countries as possible.

The program will address opportunities and tensions that migrations
demographic, technological, cultural, intellectual and literary bring to
Western Europe and libraries supporting Western European studies. Take a

We will be meeting on different days at three venues: the Bibliothèque
Nationale de France (site Mitterand), the Salon du Livre (Porte de
Versailles), and a conference center, the Espace Georges Bernanos (between
the Gare St-Lazare and the Opéra).
