[InetBib] TOR vertreibt keine DRM-Ebooks mehr



Liebe Liste,

vor kurzem stolperte ich über die folgende Pressemeldung, die recht
interessant ist wenn man sich mal die Begründung ansieht. TOR ist
einer der führenden Verlage für SF und Fantasy in den US:

TOR Books Joins Baen in Selling Unencrypted Science Fiction and Fantasy
(PRLEAP.COM) "We've tested a lot of e-book waters, including various
cockamamie schemes involving overpriced e-books laden with DRM," says
TOR Books Executive Editor Patrick Nielsen Hayden. "Oddly enough,"
Hayden continues, "a lot of those 'books' didn't even sell enough
copies to pay for their file-conversion costs. [...]"
