Technical Services Librarian - Electronic Resources

Responsibilities:
. Manage our large electronic resources collection using an electronic resource 
management system (Verde), link resolver (SFX), and integrated library 
management system (Innovative Interfaces Millennium)
. Manage and monitor the electronic resource product life cycles through trial, 
evaluation, purchase and renewal to ensure compliance and functionality
. Negotiate licenses for databases, e-journals and e-journal packages
. Collaborate with library staff in developing, cataloguing and maintaining the 
electronic resources collection
. Liaise with vendors to ensure access and licensing issues are promptly 
addressed and resolved
. Keep abreast of developments, trends and issues in all areas of 
responsibilities

Required qualifications:
. Library degree (Master, Diplom/Bachelor, or equivalent)
. Experience managing electronic resources in an academic or research library
. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
. Proficiency in English and German (at least C1 level of the Common European 
Framework of Reference for Languages)
. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Preferred qualifications:
. Working knowledge of an ERM system and/or link resolver (preferably 
Verde/SFX), and an integrated library management system
. Experience in acquisition of print and online resources
. Familiarity with consortial and national license models in Germany
