13th IFLA Interlending and Document Supply Conference, Beijing 16-18 October
2013
The IFLA Document Delivery and Resource Sharing Section will sponsor 13th IFLA
Interlending and Document Supply Conference. It is hosted by the China Academic
Library and Information System (CALIS). The Conference will be held at Peking
University in Beijing, China during the period 16-18 October 2013.
Registration is open till 14th October.
Professor Qiang Zhu, the chair of Organizing Committee of ILDS 2013 writes
"ILDS conference is one of the best platform for the international community
coming together to discuss the delivery of quality services to our users. Since
interlibrary loan and document delivery services become more and more popular
among academic libraries, public libraries and professional libraries in China,
hosting the 13th ILDS Conference provides Chinese libraries an exciting
opportunity to demonstrate the achievements during recent decades and to
promote Interlending and Document Supply services to a higher level.
As the Capital city of China, Beijing is attractive. The Great Wall, the Summer
Palace, the Forbidden City and The Temple of Heaven have been recognized UNESCO
World Cultural Heritage Sites. Since 2008 Olympics has been successfully held
in Beijing, it greatly strengthened the friendly communication between people
from inside China and outside China.
Thankfully as always, the 13th ILDS conference gets strong support from and is
collaboratively organized by the International Federation of Library
Associations and Institutions (IFLA)."
