[InetBib] Stellenausschreibung: Discovery Services Specialist, The British Library

Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen,

The world of library discovery is changing fast and the British Library is
hiring a specialist to help us lead that change.

Services that enable researchers to find and access relevant resources are
critical for the British Library. Working in our research infrastructure
services team, the Discovery Services Specialist has a key role in scoping and
implementing our next generation search interfaces. To guide researchers to the
huge variety of items we make available, you’ll also help to define services in
areas such as text mining and data visualisation. You’ll find and trial some of
the latest tools the Library could use to enable those discovery services.

The successful candidate will have a knowledge of discovery and access
technologies, ideally along with an awareness of related needs of researchers.
A good understanding of databases, metadata and identifiers is essential. They
must also have the ability to present information to different audiences.

Closing Date: 14 October 2018

[Das Einstiegsgehalt in London liegt bei ca. £2.100 netto im Monat.]
