Kendra S. Albright (Kent State University) wird zum Thema "Knowledge Management 
in Libraries" sprechen.


Abstract: The literature on knowledge management (KM) in libraries first 
appeared late in the 20th century and has continued growing over the past 
twenty plus years. Librarians’ understanding and use of KM practices, however, 
appears to be limited and varies from person to person and among institutions. 
The purpose of this presentation is to offer a practical overview of KM 
practice and what it offers to libraries. The presentation will address how the 
use of knowledge assets will improve practices across the organization to 
improve service delivery, manage change, and create a fair and equitable 
environment for all.
